The MOC owns and maintains our Optimist Cabin and grounds at 22464 N Main in Morton Illinois. We make them available for members, our organization's youth program Scouting America Troop 178, and other local community youth groups use.
We allow non-member limited kitchen use, have 4 picnic tables, a covered outdoor and open patio for picnic use, a large outdoor BBQ grill, a firepit for camp fires, and 4 acres available for game and sports use. Our cabin facility is fully heated and air conditioned and available year-round. A MOC member sponsor is required to reserve and provide facility access for non-member requested use. Proceeds received for private use of the cabin by the not-for-profit Morton Opportunity Club (MOC) a 501(3)c public charity, will be used to carry out it's mission of providing programs and services for the youth of the Morton Illinois area. Our primary areas of local youth financial support are local scout units, youth sports teams, and childhood cancer campaigns. Please help support our charitable mission..
